This is the time when a great deal more food than usual comes into the average Cat Den and then is put in cupboards and Cold Cupboards where cats can’t get at it. The Apecat Food Festival is the most important part of the Midwinter Solstice and intelligent and careful cats can greatly improve their nutrition at this time.
Obviously there is food that cats eat and food that apecats eat which overlap to a certain extent. Food that cats eat includes meat, fish (depending on your individual tastes) and Feathery Hot Dinners and Furry Hot Dinners. Occasionally cats get addicted to non-catfoods like cheese which can be very bad for them.
It seems that apecats will eat just about anything, including those weird red pointy plant-things that taste of fire.
Apecats are clearly scavengers because they insist on their meat waiting for many days before they eat it. Cats eat what they hunt immediately which is why they rightly insist that their food must be from a newly opened tin, tray or sachet.
Feathery and Furry Hot Dinners are clearly best for cats, but unfortunately they are becoming scarcer (and harder to catch). However meat especially is easily obtained by…
