Five Years
86. 15 September 2021
Five years, that’s all we’ve got.
We have five years to turn ourselves round,
Just five years in a crumbling world.
Five years to fight idiot corporations.
Five years to fight idiot politicians.
Five years to save all the insects and bees.
Five years to stop burning fossil fuels.
Five years to stop destroying the seas.
Five years to strop polluting.
Five years to stop our looting.
Five years to stop the filthy
Runaway oil tanker of our cultures,
Built by bankers and vultures,
And turn it around and rebuild it.
Turn it around, swap the officers and crew.
Turn it around and plant flowers and food.
Five years.
