I don't want to sound rude, but why on earth are you in the USA in the first place? Seriously? (I'm not an American, I'm English, and this is not a "love the USA or get out" diatribe.)

If you have kids, almost anywhere in Europe - except the UK - is going to be better for you by a long way.

And this is without even touching on the possibility of collapse/civil war in the US.
