I think there's an important idea here: we have to beware of people who have an invented universe.

Take St Dominic, a monk who crusaded against the Albigensians.

You haven't heard of them? Ah.

Well they were 13th century heretics in the south of France, the Langue d'Oc. Instead of Catholic Christianity they believed in a loving God, free love, adult baptism. Tut tut.

In the course of the Albigensian crusade, St Dominic managed to kill all of them. As their last city, Carcassonne, burned, a soldier asked St Dominic how he could distinguish between the heretics and the true Catholics in the chaos of war.

St Dominic's response. "Kill all of them," he said, "God will know his own."
