I think this is an excellent start. Obviously it'll need some more tweaking (wrenching?) but the concept is good.

So why have we built into our economies an imperative for growth at all or any costs? Can we unbuild that? Is an economy in "steady-state" really stagnating or would it be possible to run it for human benefit while not destroying any more of the Earth's life-support?
