It doesn't take two sides to make a war - it takes one side, generally somebody psychopathic. Putin stomped into Ukraine with his tanks and completely dumb plan and started a war. There wasn't one before he did that.

If we let him get away with it, in less than five years NATO will be fighting Putin (or his successor) in a much worse situation, probably in Finland or Poland.

The only way to win is to win the war and either kill Putin or capture him and make him stand trial.

If we let the whole thing devolve to a continuous running sore, we lose eventually.

Actually, I don't think that will happen - the drones will save us when they become self-aware...

Or the Russians will have another revolution.
