My photo

Perhaps in open woodland, a stone saying

“Here is Patricia Finney’s fleshly overcoat.

I don’t need it any more.

I’m fertilising fruit trees, a pear and a plum,

Gooseberry bushes and raspberries.

On the stone is a code that anyone can use

To find my books and download them

Or even have them printed,

Watch them or hear me read them aloud,

Or experience them in full Sensurround.”

I won’t be there checking readers.

My email list will be silent.

I’ll be off, somewhere else,

Doing new stuff, having fun.

Out in space as a habitat engineer

Who is inspired by one of my books

And carries it with her always.

***

Please support me by buying me a coffee — so I can keep on marching for Just Stop Oil.

I've been a published author since the age of 18, back when dinosaurs roamed. I write books, poems (patriciafinney2.substack.com) and anything else I feel like.
