"Never dodge a fight with a Nazi. It just makes the next fight harder."
I think the Second American Civil War is now less than a year away. If we're lucky, two years.
It does NOT take two to make a war. It takes one side which is intransigently determined to get rid of all opposition.
Look at the English Civil War. King Charles I brought it on himself by the way he tried to destroy all opposition. It didn't work out.
Look at any civil war: one side is intransigent, the other is afraid. The intransigent side starts the war. Sometimes they manage to get rid of all opposition by clever marketing and ruthlessness and then they usually get into wars with other people (German Nazis). Their societies need war.
Sometimes they're opposed by people who don't want to be got rid of and find the courage to fight back. You don't know who's going to win because that's the nature of war (or any fight).
I'm sorry, but trying for peace and reconciliation too early will also mean defeat.
If you're looking at Nazis coming towards you with automatic guns. you'd better have something better than peace and love to fight them with unless you're willing to take horrific casualties.
Just giving in to them doesn't cut it, because they'll kill you anyway.
The Democratic party has allowed this to happen and they need to be replaced with people who have fire in their bellies and loathe Nazis.
With luck they will be by the 3rd year of the New American Civil War. That's when it will get interesting.
