Now I know you get a lot of drama from your exaggerations, but I really don't think it works in the long term. Yes, Britain is in a mess at the moment - there are strikes, we have a parliament full of total incompetents on both sides, the NHS is being allowed to strangle etc.
The ideology that's killing us isn't the ludicrous fashion trend of Brexit - though it's bad enough. Most people have seen through it now.
The real problem is the new ideology of the Tory party which is extremely "neo-liberal" - I'd call it fascist. Brexit is part of that toxic brew but the real problem is the Tory party - they are trying to sell off the BBC and the NHS simultaneously. They also saw the pandemic as a golden opportunity to make money for themselves and their chums - eg Matt Hancock, then Health Secretary (£8 billion wasted on crap PPE) or Rupert Soames at Serco which charged the British government £37.5 billion for not supplying a Test & Trace service.
Personally I'd put them both in court on fraud charges.
But the main problem is simply that the tabloid press is owned by billionaires, Rupert Murdoch (the Sun, the Times, Fox News), 4th Viscount Rothermere (Daily Mail) and the Barclay brothers (Daily Telegraph). They drench the people with lies so they live in a parallel universe where Albanians are the problem not the government.
The people are gradually seeing through it thanks to the ghastliness of the current situation, but not fast enough.
The Press Billionaires should be tried for treason, except, whoops, I forgot, Murdoch is a naturalised American citizen.
and we need a General Election now - before the Tories can finish their gerrymandering.
That or a revolution.
