Read Jessica Bruder's book "Nomadland" - the non-fiction inspiration for the film, yes, but telling the stories of homeless - or houseless - people in a beautiful respectful way.
However the bigger picture is showing capitalism beginning to eat itself which is the beginning of the end for it.
I believe we also have to remember that we are immortal souls having a physical experience - the aim of which is to learn and to love. Not just see who can pile up the most cash or toys.
Just as when a caterpillar pupates and its body breaks down into a sort of soup, there are clusters of cells that remain and form the foundations for building a butterfly.
Perhaps the Earth is pupating too.
