I also liked your talk about enshittification and why it's a bad idea, though I'm not one of your techie audience. I am the opposite of techie (though I'm still interested in it).
It's interesting that in the 1800s, people willing to work in factories were paid well - by their standards. Most of the people flooding to the factories were peasants who had rarely seen money except to pay their rent, so they thought they were getting paid a lot. They weren't. Then as more and more people left the land and got work in factories... their pay and conditions dropped through the floor.
