Well darling, I fiddled around with recycling, and not buying any new clothes for years, and going by train instead of plane, and trying (and failing) to go vegan, and then I heard about Just Stop Oil.
What’s that?
They were a protest group who seemed to share a lot of personnel with Insulate Britain. Though I don’t know many of the facts or any names.
What’s Insulate Britain?
That was another earlier protest group which was just trying to get the British government to insulate all the old draughty houses up and down the British Isles. They invented protests that were designed to disrupt people driving cars and vans and lorries, by gluing themselves to roads and climbing up on motorway gantries. That made everyone hate them.
Why?
Because they caused huge traffic jams and everyone got cross and a lot of Insulate Britain people were arrested.
Why?
For causing the traffic jams.
Why didn’t the British government just insulate all the houses at once?
They didn’t want to.
Why not?
