We can stop this. All we have to do is STOP BURNING FOSSIL FUELS. You know, things like oil, gas and coal. At the moment we're in a deep hole and digging away with bulldozers. To get out of the hole we need to STOP DIGGING.

We have technologies that can substitute for fossil fuels - solar, wind, nuclear. (I'll believe in fusion when I see it.) But solar and wind could do the job - it's just that the fossil fuel companies keep lying to us and saying they can't. Why do they do that? Well, duh!

They don't want to go bust.

They will anyway and it's going to be messier than it should have been.

It's astonishing how hypnotised by fossil fuels is America. If the USA had been as slow to deal with the threat of WWII we'd all be speaking German and Japanese.
