You're right Umair - and, no, the planet isn't finished, Jody Gerut. The planetary organism will almost certainly survive us - She's survived much worse than us, such as an asteroid 66 million years ago and several episodes of out-of-control vulcanism taking CO2 ppm to 2000 and above.

But we won't survive if we keep on this way. Humans will be extinct and we'll deserve it for behaving so stupidly.

We need to transform our economics. That will take transforming our societies and THAT will take transforming our politics.

We don't need a revolution because those are usually highly destructive of people and you end up ruled by psychopaths.

We need a complete economic, political and social reboot.

Maybe covid 19 accidentally helped us by forcing us to switch our civilization off and on again?
